How Does Optimind Work?
Optimind has been formulated in a GMPcertified laboratory using the very latest industry standards to create a nootropic stack that is potent yet natural. The formulation consists of ingredients such as;
The amino acid neurotransmitter that controls 40% of inhibitory processing. It plays the important part in the central nervous system. It helps to naturally control feelings of anxiety and prevents adrenal fatigue by reducing adrenaline and helping to release serotonin. Another added benefit of GABA is that it lowers blood pressure.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha-Lipoic acid helps to break down carbohydrates to produce energy for the bodies cells and is a natural antioxidant, helping to protect the cells, neurons and the central nervous system from free radical and toxic heavy metal damage.
Huperzine A is derived from the Chinese club moss plant and is one of the most used nootropics. Studies have revealed that Huperzine A can increase memory and cognitive functioning.
It increases the levels of them important compound acetylcholine which is vital for learning and memory.
Caffeine is the world’s most widely consumed natural stimulant as it features in many drinks that we enjoy on a daily basis; coffee, tea and fizzy drinks such as Coca Cola.
Optimind contains the same amount of caffeine as found in coffee but without ( it is claimed) the unwanted effects.
Vinpocetine is a nootropic agent extracted from the periwinkle flower.
Vinpocetine helps to maintain brain health by helping cerebral blood flow, maintain memory formation and increase cognitive performance and focus. Vinpocetine increases levels of 4 cruicial neurotransmitters; serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline and acetylcholine.
Other ingredients include; Taurine, Tyrosine, Choline, DMAE, Niacin, Vitamins B6 and 12, Bacopa Monnieri and Green tea extract.
The makers do not disclose the actual amounts on their official website, but please see the image of the product label below:
You can see that the makers only partially disclose the formula, preferring to hide the amounts of many individual ingredients behind a proprietary blend totalling 1398mg
How To Use Optimind
The manufacturers recommend taking two capsules per serving, although it may be better to begin with taking just one capsule to see how your body responds before trying the full dose. The makers do not give an maximum dose and say that it is advisable to experiment with different dosages and different times of the day to find the right amount for you.
Optimind used to be marketed under the name AllerADD which often got confused with the medication Adderall which is prescribed for ADHD, ADD (attention deficit disorder). Optimind is believed to be exactly the same, same ingredients just different name and packaging.
Actual customer reviews are hard to come by, though the ones we found were generally positive apart from one review, where one user said the affects of taking just 2 capsules felt like the equivalent of drinking 5 cups of coffee and had no benefit whatsoever aside from the feeling of being very jittery…
Where To Buy Optimind
Optimind can be purchased directly from the manufacturers website.
They have a couple of options available, including a 14 day free trial (which they say can be cancelled at any time) after the 14 day trial period you will then be billed $43.31, unless you specifiy otherwise within 14 days of purchase and then concurrently every 30 days.
You can also buy the one month supply without opting in for the free trial.
Optimind contains a decent amount of ingredients and proven nootropics that are beneficial to brain health and function.
The caffeine contained in Optimind may be a problem for some users who are sensitive, despite Optimind saying it has none of the usual effects of caffeine, we believe that it may be over stimulating for some users causing issues like the shakes, or restlessness.
The makers don’t give any indication to the daily recommended dose and imply that it is up to the user to ‘experiment’ to find what best suits them. We think this could be potentionally dangerous, especiaslly to those on medications or those with serious health conditions.
The trial offer worries us too… basically if you take this trial, you are signing up to an auto ship program, which basically means that after the 14 day period, you will be shipped a full months supply of the supplement and your bank or credit card will be charged accordingly.. this will repeat every 30 days or so… These programs are notoriously difficult to cancel and you have to act within a certain timescale (so read the small print carefully).
The internet is crammed with stories from people who have taken advantage of these free trials and have had extreme difficulty cancelling such an order and find that they are having their bank accts charged for many months for products that they don’t want until they finally manage to effect a cancellation…
We have personally known a family member who had to actually close her bank account to stop an unscrupulous company from keep taking money from her.
Our Advice – Avoid The Free Trial…
With regard to the supplement itself… most reviews are largely positive and although we do not know the actual dosage of many of the key ingredients, the actual components in the mix are largely all tested and considered effective, and with that in mind, we can say for sure that Optimind is certainly one to consider….
