CILTeP – Is It An Effective Nootropic?
What is CILTeP?
CILTeP is a blend of natural nootropic ingredients developed to help increase mental performance
It was designed to initiate the mechanism that helps you get motivated, and allows you to concentrate and remember facts and figures. – This mechanism is called Long Term Potentiation.
Developed by reputable health experts including Tim Ferriss, Dave Asprey and
How Does CILTeP Work
it works by inducing Long-Term Potentiation (LTP)
LTP is a long lasting signal transmission between two neutrons that have been stimulated simultaneously… LTP is actually one of the main cellular mechanisms responsible for memory and learning… i.e. memories are retained and coded into the brain by the creation of LTP
This occurs by:
Inhibiting the production of Phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) – PDE4 is an enzyme that breaks down caMP molecules – the messengers that pass messages throughout the brain.. by inhibiting PDE4, the levees of caMP increase, along with it the transmission of messages, helping to improve cognitive function, memory, alertness as well as over all near protection.
Increasing cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) – increasing the levels of caMP results in improved cognition function, in particular the formation and retention of memories.
In Summary – Reduced PDE4 = Increased caMP = Improved learning and memory.
LTP also has an effect on the secretion of Dopamine, by increasing its metabolism without avoiding al th negative side effects so often associated with prescription drug based dopamine stimulants..
Research has documented that increased caMP helps to in turn increase dopamine synthesis.
What is CILTeP Made From
CILTeP was developed by using a combination of five natural ingredients:
- Vitamin B6
- Artichoke Extract*
- Coleus Forskohlii ( Forskolin)*
*Artichoke Extract is an effective PDE4 inhibitor, and Coleus Forskohlii has been clinically proven to boost caMP levels
You can read a Study on The Function Of Forskolin here –
A pretty decent formulation that can deliver some decent results in the improvement of memory and learning… there are (in our opinion) more wider reaching supplements out there that will help boost both focus, recall and problem solving skills as well as improving memory, more general cognitive functions, but overall, its one that shouldn’t necessarily be overlooked when researching nootropic supplements….
